Turtle Bay Lodge Turtle Dove Eagles Landing Grandma's Cottage

About Us

We started building Turtle Bay Lodge in 1996 and finished the lodge in May of 1998 just in time for our daughter, Renee's wedding to her husband Rick Irwin. We were given the opportunity to purchase the hunting cabin beside us. It was an cement block building that Ray thought would make a nice garage. I thought that a bed and breakfast was a better idea. Since Ray loves to build, he immediately started working to clear the lot and with the help of friends and contractors, we began building Turtle Bay Lodge.

Ray enlisted the help of his Amish friends and everyone worked very hard to finish the lodge. We loved owning a bed and breakfast and soon had many requests for cabins. Ray and I decided to build a large cabin we named Eagles Landing. We added Turtle Dove and Grandma's House to complete our little get away for others to enjoy the beautiful area and the scenic Allegheny River. We have made many good friends and enjoy meeting our guests from the surrounding area and other states and countries. We just love this business and are so happy that we have an opportunity to share our dream with others.

Miss Breanna Room was named after our first granddaughter who was seven when we completed the lodge. Ray always said she was a future president. Breanna loved to give tours of the lodge. She was just as excited as we were to have this amazing opportunity. Breanna is now 23 and works at Hamot Hospital in Erie and attends Mercyhurst College. She is a full time student, works 50 hours a week and just purchased a home in Erie. We are very, very proud of her and her best friend Bryan.
